Cramming

2 03 2007

There are some things that Jath never learns. Cramming, for one, is an example. UrbanDictionary defines “cram” as the act of attempting to learn large amounts of information in a short period of time, esp. for a test in high school or college…. or, to study for a test in the last remaining minutes. A tactic preferred by many students worldwide.

Premise #1 : Students cram for their exams
Premise #2 : Jath is a student.
Conclusion : Jath crams for his exams
(who knew i actually learned stuff from my philosophy class)

Anyways, back to the notion of cramming. Does it pay off? of course, as i do better than not studying at all. However, i hate cramming. Its not good for my health. When i cram, i dont get enough sleep. When i dont get enough sleep, i get pimples. AHHHHH! pimple attack! ><”

so, if i hate cramming, why do i cram, you might ask? my answer, im not a keener, so i leave everything to the last minute. so far its been working … well up to today’s psychology midterm. I only studied for 2 days for my psych midterm, and i hope i get a passing mark, as i believe i blew that midterm. however, im not too worried about it because, its only 20% of my mark.

to conclude my ranting, is it worth cramming? a bit of Yes and No. Yes because i tend to get “good” marks(notice the quotation marks). however, i feel physically crappy and wasted. lack of sleep is not a good thing.

anyways, i need to get back to studying as i dont want to blow another midterm. Geo cramming, here I come!
