Happy Halloween.
This year is the first time I decided to dress up for halloween. We had a carnival night at church and we were encouraged to dress up as something. After hours (literally) of contemplating what to be/wear, I finally decided yesterday night to dress up as a Mime artist. It was in the wee hours of yesterday night that i decided what to be. At first I was planning on dressing up as a cowboy because its really easy and simple. However, dressing up as a cowboy is far-too common…. it didnt seem like any creativity was involved. I wanted it to be something different; afterall, it is my first time dressing up as something for halloween. I opted to be a mime artist, cuz it was easy, relatively cheap (because i did not wear the traditional mime attire …. ie. striped shirt and suspenders) and different.
The carnival was pretty fun. I was forced not to talk for the whole night, because everyone was telling me I should live up to the character im portraying. It was such an onerous thing to do, but i managed to get through the night without talking. I volunteered to be in-charged of the math booth with sig and lester, cuz i thought it’d be easy (since kids dont really want to do math/school stuff). I feel bad though, because for most of the time, I ditched the station. However, at one instance, i was asked to man the booth by myself. I wasnt still allowed to talk, so i tried to communicate to kids with some weird random gestures. I don’t know how it went, but im pretty sure the kids thinks im stupid or something. haha.
Anyway, I’ll end my post here. Don’t want to write a long entry. Im trying to limit each blog entry to less than 300 words. ok, bye. goodnight.
