Our garage door died today. I don’t really know how it happened but its really GG. haha.

Nehemiah 9:29-31

Nehemiah 9:29-31 

 ²⁹ “You warned them to return to your law, but they became arrogant and disobeyed your commands. They sinned against your ordinances, by which a man will live if he obeys them. Stubbornly they turned their backs on you, became stiff-necked and refused to listen. ³⁰ For many years you were patient with them. By your Spirit you admonished them through your prophets. Yet they paid no attention, so you handed them over to the neighboring peoples. ³¹ But in your great mercy you did not put an end to them or abandon them, for you are a gracious and merciful God.

What I got from reading these verses is that God shows tremendous patience with us. I am also reminded of Deut. 31:8  (The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.) I guess the take-away-point that I got from these verses is to not let anything deter us from God. We might’ve done something reaaaally bad but we shouldn’t dwell on that sin for a long time. We might feel really guilty about doing it but God is a merciful God. If we seek for repentance and be genuinely sorry about it, then we should not worry about anything.

Also, I read an interesting quote: “If you’re feeling that God is far away, guess who moved?” ……… something to think/ponder about?

Those darn textbooks…

I’m currently taking sport psychology as a summer course. I originally intended of dropping this course, but was too late when I did. I resulted with a “W” on my grades, so I decided to take the class. The course is pretty interesting but really tough. Lots of information and lots to read.

Anyways, I found it really funny whenever theres typos in a textbook. I know that nobody is perfect but a textbook should’ve been proofread X amount of times for grammatical/spelling errors…afterall, it is an academic book.

So as I was reading my sports psychology textbook, I found something funny that made me chuckle. Being an avid basketball fan, the typo of “Labron James,” as opposed to Lebron James, caught my eye right away.

I wonder how athletes would feel if they find their name on textbooks mispelled. I bet they would call their agents to tell the publishers to do a reprint with proper spelling… especially with Lebron, who’s been trying to become a global icon and achive global fame. hehehehe.
