Headed down to downtown at 2:00PM for the 5:00PM game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals with Jackie and Les to get good seats. Then met up with my sister, kp3, lala and jerg. The place is so crowded! I think the Vancouver police department expected 100,000 people to show up. We weren’t in the main street where most people were watching it, we were outside CBC building.

Sadly, the Canucks didnt win (got creamed by the Bruins 4-0). The better team won. *Sigh*. I was kinda disappointed the Canucks didn’t score, because I really wanted to see the crowd erupt in celebration. Had I known it was going to be like that, I would’ve stayed in Richmond. I guess my Daniel Sedin shirt didnt bring any luck hehe. Oh well, better luck next year ‘nucks. We’ll bounce back!

We left right after the game to avoid any possible riots (people were throwing water bottles and stuff to the TV screens). Skytrain was busy as heck! So many people and crazy lineups! Me and Jackie got separated from the rest of the group and missed the first Skytrain heading back because it was full. Had to wait for the next one; good thing it was only a 2 minute wait. On a completely different note, I saw a couple fight in the SkyTrain station. eeeeek!

Anyway, once we reached Richmond, we met up with the rest of the group and went to Liu’s for dinner. I was shocked to see a riot broke out in Vancouver: Buildings were broken in to, cars were lilt on fire, porta-potties were brought down, people fighting with the police. I didn’t think another riot would break out, since when I left downtown, everything was still in order. Its 1994 all over again (a riot broke out in ’94 when the Canucks lost to the Rangers in game7 finals as well). I guess it was good that we left early.

I’m pretty disappointed with Vancouver right now. I know the people who decided to trash, vandalize and start the riot are not a true representation of Vancouverites, but Vancouver’s reputation is just shattered. I thought after hosting the Winter Olympics last year we were all past these stupid immature behavior, but I guess not. I don’t even get what the point of the riot is! It’s not like the police were not Canucks fan. Breaking things over a hockey game is just dumb. So so dumb.

Already jumped on the bandwagon since the playoffs started. And since tomorrow is the very last game of the Canucks 10-11 season (Game 7 Finals vs the Boston Bruins), I decided to give the Canucks more support by buying a Canucks shirt. Bought one for myself, and another one for my brother. Got myself a Daniel Sedin jersey shirt, and got Miah a Henrik one. I wouldve gotten a Bieksa jersey shirt, or an Ehrhoff, except they didnt have those =(

Going to head out to downtown tomorrow and watch the game outside the CBC studio building. Hope the Canucks win. GO CANUCKS GO!

My 24th Birthday. I decided to have my party at McDonalds because I thought it would be a fun silly childish idea. I was surprised that my brother and my sister decided to bring decorations and plan games: a Jath-wordsearch, decorating Jath face contest and pin the tail of the donkey (dinkey). It was pretty fun and silly. Other McDonalds customers were watching and laughing as well. Hehehe.

Today wouldve been perfect to finish the shed, except I cant put all the parts together just yet; I need help from 2 people to hold the pieces in place.  I am, however, done assembling all the individual parts; I worked on the right door today. I thought it’d be more complicated, but it was actually pretty easy.

Since it was raining today, I wasnt really able to do much with the shed. I stayed inside the house and  assembled a bunch of parts; the roof window, gables, and the left door. To my surprise, this took me quite awhile to assemble. It’s probably because I suck and super slow. Haha.

Anyways, I’m probably only halfway done to assembling the whole shed. Can’t wait to get this whole thing over with. I’m not looking forward to bringing all these assembled parts together. Pretty sure I’ll go nuts putting it together. Its gonna be tough. Sigh.

* The left door. I was too lazy to assemble the right door. It’s much more complicated with the door handle and lock and whatnot. I will probably have to work on that tomorrow.

*I found out that I screwed up screwing some screws and nuts for the roof truss yesterday (LOL, wow that sounded awkward >_>). Had to re-tighten a bunch of screws.

I was told by my dad to assemble the shed he recently bought. It’s a crazy big 8×10 shed. This is probably the handiest as I’ll ever be in my whole life lol. Building, assembling and making stuff (ie. Arts & crafts) are not my forte.

I am probably only 25% done from assembling the whole shed; only the back and side walls are up. I will have to finish the rest tomorrow. I work really slow. *sigh*

Congrats Dwight and Elaine! Wedding ceremony was pretty simple and nice. I was asked by the couple to videograph the wedding. yikes! >_>

Wedding reception was good. The place was so nice and beautiful…. perhaps the best one I’ve been to.

After reading the Book of Awesome by Neil Pasricha, I decided to order the second book (The Book of Even More Awesome) because the first book was soooo hilarious. I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed reading a book until reading that one. The author of the book actually had a book signing at Robson Chapters two nights ago. I was planning on attending, just to see and experience what happens in book signing events. Sadly, I wasn’t able to book time off from work.

I ordered the Book of Even More Awesome through Amazon and was forced to buy 2 more books to get the free shipping deal ($25). I bought another copy of the Book of Awesome (going to use it as a gift), and Have a Little Faith by Mitch Albom. Everything came to about $30, not bad, since all three books were on 50% sale.

I don’t know if I should start reading these books because I haven’t even finished reading the Gretchen Rubin’s Happiness Project. I’m only a third done from reading that book. Aiyah, so slow.
