Onigiri ^.^

Summer to-do list task #6: make sushi / rice ball. half check. Only half check because I didn’t make sushi.

I’ve been meaning on making some onigiris (rice ball) for the past week, but I’ve been lazy. Since I didn’t have anything planned today, I decided to make some today.

Its relatively easy to make these rice balls. The only tricky part is the molding/rolling process. Consistency within the whole rice ball - meaning, the topping (tuna) is evenly spread inside – is pretty hard to do. Maybe with more practice I can roll them better, but I don’t see myself doing this often. Its essentially rice and tuna and seaweed rolled in to a ball, so why go through all the effort of rolling/molding? hehehe… But I must admit though, it was pretty fun making these rice balls. You get to play and decorate your food =)

another year, another surprise

Another year passed by, another birthday surprise. This one totally came out of nowhere because my birthday was a week ago.

So heres how the surprise went. My brother asked me to play smackdown vs raw with him on ps3. Being a fan of wrestling video games, I decided to play with him just to test it out (I already played it in the psp hehe). Lala then asked if she could close the door on the guest room (where we were playing), because she wanted to watch Supernatural in the living room. So she closed the door……I went on to play SvR with Jerg, and apparently people came from the back door to go upstairs to my room. So I kept playing the game, then all of a sudden, my sister called me to say that something went wrong with my computer. She asked me to go upstairs to check whats wrong with it. So I went up, opened my door, and was surprised by about 15 people inside my room. I was totally surprised to see them because totally didnt expect them to be there. I mean, my birthday was a week ago.

Looking back, I could’ve figured out that something was up because I knew that Supernatural season was done airing for the year. GG.

Bowling Pro.

I went bowling again today. This time with  my sister, Jackie, Sandra and Win only. It was pretty fun. We played two games. I got 77 and 147, respectively. I beat my old personal best of 103. yay!

During the first game, I tried to put some spin on my throw/roll… but being the newbie that I am, I clearly failed… Hence, I got a “low” score.
